Love it or hate it, it seems like the gender reveal trend is here to stay, and parents are forced to try and come up with a new and interesting way to break the news that they're having a boy or a girl.
As if pregnancy announcements, baby showers, naming parties and regular old birthday parties weren't enough to worry about, now parents are stocking up on one-up other parents with bigger and bigger surprises.
We'll it some of these videos are a twist you wouldn't expect.
That's what we get from poor Kyle Tait and his wife, who tried to reveal their baby's gender with a baseball-themed announcement. Their video is going viral around the world, but not for the reasons they hoped it would.

In case you haven't seen one of these reveals before, a baseball - normally made of plastic or Styrofoam - is loaded with blue or pink glitter. The mom-to-be throws the ball, and when the father hits it with the bat the baby's gender is revealed.
Kyle Tait either missed the memo or was taking his job too seriously. When his wife lobbed him the ball he choked up on the bat, set his shoulders, lifted his front heel....then watched the ball crash in front of him.
Okay, maybe it was a little outside of Tait's strike zone, but you would expect the future dad to at least take a swing at it. Either way, this couple's family know they'll be having a girl, and that's all that matters.
In fact, the Taits aren't even the worst example of a botched baseball gender reveal this week. Justin and Laura Garner were expecting to get a blissful family moment on tape, instead they recorded what Laura calls a "YouTube fail." We promise: no parents were harmed in the making of this embarrassing video.
The moment wasn't captured on camera because Laura's sister was "laughing so hard," but the couple will be having a boy. Congrats!
